What is computer?
Computer is an electronic machine or device which accept data as input then processes it and then give result or information as output.
Data:
Data is the collection of alphabets, numerals and special symbols. It is meaningless.
Information:
It is also the collection of alphabets, numerals and special symbols but is meaningful.
Function of computer:
i) Accepting the data as input.
ii) Storage the data and instructions in its memory and recalling the same as and when required.
iii) Processing the data as per instructions to convert it into useful information.
iv) Communicating the information as output.
Limitation of computer:
1) Computers are very powerful tools, but can't think and make any decision on their own.
2) Computers can't take over all activities simply because they are less flexible than human.
3) Computers can't perform anything outside the defined scope.
4) Computers don't have the potential to work out an alternative solution.
Booting :
When we start a computer some automatic task are conducted on the screen which is called booting.
VIRUS (Vital Information Resources and under Seized):
Virus is a program that damages a computer system.
It is also the collection of alphabets, numerals and special symbols but is meaningful.
